Philip Benoit Obituary
The St. Anselm's College graduate served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart before starting his 36-year career with the U.S. Postal Service. Benoit was postmaster of both Goffstown, New Hampshire, and Key West, Florida.
Benoit was a huge part of the Key West Community. His generosity, wit, humor, great love of animals and homemade pies will be greatly missed by many. Any donations can be made to the KEYS SPCA
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Florida Keys SPCA.

I met Phil many years ago when we both attended St Anselm's. We quickly became close friends. While Phil was a returning Vietnam Vet I was on the verge of being drafted and after many discussions with him I enlisted in the US Army and eventually was sent to Vietnam. After I came home to Manchester I tried to reconnect with Phil but it just wasn't meant to be. I tried many times over the years to connect with him even on Facebook with no luck. I was saddened to see the obits in the Union Leader on line of Phil's passing. RIP my old friend and sincere condolences to Phil's family.
