Not sure what to say?

Aunt Debbie, Caleb, Silas, and Christy: I want to express my deepest sympathy for all of you. I know how sad I am feeling and I know it must be so much worse for you. I can't even begin to tell you what my Uncle Phil meant to me. He was not only my uncle but like a second dad to me and a good friend also. I will never forget all of the great memories I had with him. He liked to tease me but in a loving way like when he called me a "preschool dropout" because I cried and quit after two days....

Aunt Debbie,
I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Phil, but the one that comes to mind is of him making fun of me not wearing the correct color shirt to a LSU game this past year. Of course it was a gold game and I had a purple shirt on. I am so sorry that Travis and I were not able to make the funeral, but please know that you and the boys are in our prayers.

Guidry Family
My brother and Philip were classmates since elementary schoold days. I remember him as always being involved in sports and laughing a lot. He was very intelligent and loved challenges. My prayers are with you.

Dear Debbie, Caleb, and Silas--My heart aches for you. The memory of those Saturdays when you tailgated at LSU with Donna and her family and I joined you have stuck with me over the years. I know that Philip has everyone in heaven laughing, and that he has the very best view for watching LSU games from now to the end of time. With love, Scott Carson

Guidry Family
Phillip provided me with many wonderful memories. I thank God I was able to know him. He could always make me laugh and I always made him laugh. It was never dull when we were around each other. He was always there to help me when I was finishing my +30. In fact I owe a portion of it to him. Without his help I would not be where I am today. He was always willing to help whenever he could. He even took time with my daughter weekly to help her with her math in middle school....

Coach Guidry taught both of our children at Benton High, but played a crucial role in helping our son become involved in Benton High activities through the sport they both loved, basketball. You will never be forgotten. Our prayers and condolences to the family.

Ms. Debbie, Caleb & Silas,
When I think of Coach Guidry, I can't help but think of "The Montrose Express" or "The Grawood Special." I am not sure how he thought them up but it sure was fun trying to make them work. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mrs. Guidry,
I cannot believe it has been 10 years since I taught and coached with you and Phillip at Benton. He was one of those special people that could always bring a smile to your face. He shared his smile with everyone he met. I am so glad I had the honor of getting to know him. He will be missed!!

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Coach Guidry. He was my teacher, my friend's father, and eventhough he wasn't my coach, he enjoyed giving me advice on basketball. He was a great man. To his family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
