All the Schumacher/Beal/Horrigan clans are saddened to lose this kind, funny, and gentle cousin. Phil was loyal and kind to my mother (his cousin), keeping in touch for many years over many miles. We all remember those early family gatherings with Phil and Mary Ann shepherding their rambunctious brood through various elderly relatives' homes during holiday events. We all loved Phil and will miss simply knowing he was there.

I received a call this morning from our Aunt Nancy who lives in Arlington and who remembered Phil and Mary Ann and knew I would want to know. My husband, Hugh went to high school with Phil. That friendship lasted until Hugh died three years ago. For all those years Phil called Hugh frequently to give him all the news about their friends. Even after Hugh died Phik called me to continue to keep me informed about news he gathered. I will miss hearing from him. He was a wonderful friend to us. May God care for him for eternity. Sincerely, Jane Malley

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Godspeed my friend, I know you are rejoicing to be joining your beloved Mary Ann. My deepest sympathy to the family you have left behind. Phil was an amazing person, friend, colleague and devoted family man. He has truly touched the lives of many and we are all better for having known him.
