Not sure what to say?

A great physician and leader with whom I was proud to serve on the ACCP Board of Regentd.

I remember Phil So well, I was just thinking of him the other day scanning some old stuff in my medical career. He was a great person, and I will always remember him.

Phil was my classmate at Columbia University. We took calculus together and going into the final , I was flunking and Phil was a master at it. Friday, before the final on Monday , I was on the phone with Phil getting a complete summary of Calculus of the previous 4 months. I passed with a B-, thanks completely to Phil.

I remember Philip so well. He was in my medical school graduating class of 1973, we took are internship and residencies together, and we both went into private practice on Long Island, he into pulmonology and I into medical oncology. He was a great physician well loved by his patients and his colleagues, and we sometimes worked on cases together. I will always remember him. He was the best.

To Dr. Marcus family...I still think of him often, and frequently tell stories about what a fabulous doctor and man he was, how kind of lovely he was with my infant son Tim (who so now 10). And I always make people laugh with my imitation of him when he would sit me down in his office after some asthma tests (esp. when I was being a delinquent and non-medication compliant patient), look at me with that deadpan look, and announce, Ya breathing STINKS! I suppose nothing to laugh at for a normal...

Hard to believe it is over five years since Phil's passing. Life marches on without him! Life is Unfair!

I saw Dr. Marcus, as he was highly recommended. He was warm and wonderful and added humor to the visit! I will never forget him. Gone much to soon.

You were the best, I admired you so. May You rest in God's loving arms. You helped so many. Prayers for your wonderful giving spirit of life and for your family.
