Philip C. "Phil" Neitz

Phil was briefly my college roommate at Ohio U. Decades later, my daughter attended Toledo University and said "I bet you don't know anybody in Toledo" But I remembered Phil was from Toledo and looked him up. He was a gracious host and I spent several hours talking with him and his 90-something old mom. He was delighted we re-connected and relished when I sent an annual Christmas card, hopeful that I would one day return to Toledo. So sad to learn of his passing.

To Phil's family - my deepest condolences to you at Phil's passing. My ex-husband and I belonged to Heather Downs Club in the 1980's, when Phil was bartending there. He had the perfect personality and skills for his job - cheerful, so friendly, accommodating, genuinely interested in you and your life, treating everyone as if they were his best friend.
