Not sure what to say?

I have known Fr. Phil since I was 14 years old and a student at the Prep. He married me and my wife Annmarie. I have always said it, Fr. Phil was a true man of God. He was a teacher and a friend. Rest is peace Fr. Phil

Fr. Phil was both my music teacher and choir director at Seton Hall Prep 1972-74. He was always filled with joy and energy. May he rest in the Lord's peace after his earthly labors. I will offer Mass for his soul today at 11:30 on the anniversary of his passing. Fr. Matt Mauriello

For our Dearest Friend. Our hearts are sad that we will not hear your voice or be texting you messages. Your cards will be kept close to us. Fondest memories of my choir days. God Bless. Go with the grace of God my friend. We are still hard hit by the shock of your death. My Mother still prays for you.

I only found out about Fr Phil's passing today I line. MY HUSBAND AND I CRIED OUR EYES OUT. Fr Phil married us at Our Lady of Libera Church on July 19, 2003 We were blessed to have him preside over a 10 year anniversary vow renewal ceremony on July 19 2013 at Holy Trinity Church in Ft Lee, NJ. He was such a gentle, loving, caring, sensitive man with a great sense of humor and who loved eating especially my crabmeat quiche!! He was such a holy man of God. One of his true angels on earth. We...

I will always remember our phone conversations. I still remember the first day I met Fr. Phil at Our Lady of Good Counsel with his big beaming smile. We kept in touch all these years. The days of singing in the choir were some of my best memories. Going to his parents house in East New York for lunch was a nice surprise. My 93 year Mom and I will miss Phil a great deal. Too bad my wife will never get to meet Phil in this world. We still remember seeing Phil and Floyd together many times...

"Come, Blest of my Father, Yours is the Kingdom prepared for you!" When I hear this passage of the gospel, while I know they are Matthew's words, I hear Phil Rotunno and his wonderful hymn -- a hymn composed in his days at Darlington Seminary.

Phil was a gentle yet powerful spirit, one that is still very much alive -- in our memory and in our thanksgiving to God for this remarkable priest.

My best friend for 50 years. Philly I will miss your texts each morning. I love you.

Rest in Peace

He preached at my First Mass and is a BIG reason why I became a Priest 25 years ago. Fr. Phil I will alway love you.
