I worked with Phil for many years. After he retired, we began having dinner at various restaurants and we would email almost daily. After I retired, we began going on day trips: visiting wild life sanctuaries, walking local hiking trails, and climbing Mt Major. We shared a love for reading and would often share authors we enjoyed. He would help me with projects in my yard, as well as give advice on many different subjects. He was a great friend and I will miss him dearly.

Phil was a very special friend of mine. We met when he discovered my used bookstore in Brattleboro. Often, when he was in town he would take me to dinner. I was most appreciative. He was the only person I would go to when I wanted to buy a car, tires etc. I am heartbroken. He was so kind to me.
