Phillip Gene Cummins

Phillip Gene Cummins, 75, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on July 18, 2024, at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. after a long illness. He was born January 30, 1949, in Muncie IN to the late Eugene and Vera Cummins. He graduated from South Central High School in Union Mills, IN, in 1967. Phillip joined the Navy, January 1968, and proudly served until February 1972. He started his career in the food industry as a meat cutter with Kingsford Meats and transitioned into sales as a broker with Fuller Brokerage and retired in 2017. Phillip was an avid fisherman and loved playing golf and teaching his sons to play at an early age. They played for many years together at Eel River Golf Course. Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patty Cummins of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Josh (Christina) Cummins of Leo, IN; brothers Gary (Christine) Cummins of Greenwood , IN; Richard (Kathy) Cummins of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Brandon, Kailey, Abby, Olivia, Addison Cummins and a great-granddaughter, Aveline Cummins. He was preceded in death by his parents and their son, Michael Cummins, 2021.

Funeral Service will be 3:00pm Monday July 29, 2024, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation 2 hours prior.
