Phyllis was a very supportive and wise presence in my life when I was young and needed guidance. I will always remember her as a bright light and loving soul. May her spirit live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.

Dear Erin and family and Phyllis' mother,
It is with a heavy heart that I just learned
of Phyllis' death. Although I only knew her
for the three years my husband David and I lived in Brattleboro, she was an important friend, who helped me get my job teaching as an adjunct in the Keene State English department and also as a shoulder to cry on when my mother died in 2009. We always talked deeply and truthfully with each other, and for that and the many ways in which she extended...
