Mother Bickham embodied what it meant to be a phenomenal woman. In every sense, she was the epitome of grace and class. She was a beautiful soul with a joyful heart who loved and adored her family. She appreciated each of her children´s unique gifts and talents, always encouraging them with forthright wisdom, directness, and grace. Her sense of class and exquisite taste were evident in everything Mother Bickham did, especially in preparing the most memorable family Thanksgiving meals. I...

Phyllis Bickham worked for Senior Services for many years, along with three other women, Allene Evans, Karen Duncker and Nancy Miller, who staffed the organization's Employment Services program. This program was created by city leaders to fight age discrimination and was one of the first non-profits to be organized for the purpose of also fighting race discrimination in employment. At that time, about 200 seniors a year were coming to Senior Services for employment assistance, from yard...

What an amazing Christian woman. I met Mrs. Bickham in 1985 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was always active in the church and truly embraced the corporal works of mercy. I loved spending time with her and getting to know her family. My condolences and prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul and God´s Devine mercy and comfort for the family.

Mrs. Bickham, Was a beautiful person who went out of her way to help those who were less fortunate than herself. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph's who loved gosoel music and the St. Joseph Gospel Choir. She received her elementary school education at St. Joseph's Catholic school supported the Oblate Sisters Of Providence. She was the unbeatable Queen of the Pink Table for the annual Rainbow Tea.
