Phyllis was a dear friend of mine for 20 years. Because of our age difference, I often referred to our relationship as Phyllis was the young spirit and I was the old soul. You don't meet too many woman in their 60s that learned the Electric Slide (a dance in the 90s). She was fun and sassy all at the same time, but most importantly she was truly a good friend that was there to listen when you needed her. What I want to say about Auntie Phyllis would be far too much to write here. But she was such a special family member to me throughout my lifetime and especially in the earlier years when she and her family would take me with them hunting, fishing and camping. I spent many a night at their home just for a sleepover with cousin Dewey. Auntie Phyllis will always be in my heart and I will miss her dearly. My wife Kathy, sons Kevin and Paul are so grateful we were able to visit her in December...

This was a very special lady that had enough love in her heart to include those that were not her own.
She is responsible for good memories in a childhood raked by abuse. May God be with all of you in a special way at this time.
