PHYLLIS J. McCLAIN

PHYLLIS J. McCLAIN, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, at home. Born in Gibson County, Ind., Phyllis sold antiques sales for over 30 years. She was a charter member of Saint Joseph United Methodist Church, a past leader and board member of the Girl Scouts for over 20 years. She was an intrepid world traveler and was a chapel organist at Parkview Hospital for over 20 years. Surviving are her sons, Jay (Dawn) McClain and Steven (Nikki) McClain, both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jana (Matthew Benson) McClain of Carnation, Wash.; grandsons, Jason, Patrick, Caleb, Clayton, and John; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Lucille Martin; husband, John McClain; and sister, Nancy Schwake. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating. Calling also from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at the funeral home.
