Not sure what to say?

I don't think I was in her class, but I new of her, I'm sorry to hear this and my prayers go out to family and friends!!!

I have fond memories of my time in her classes, and I am saddened to hear of her passing.

I am saddened to find the passing of Phyllis Neumann. As a fellow staff member from the "good old days" of Edgewood High School, we were full of energy, fearless in our mission, and willing to accept the challenges in striving to reach our goals. Those days are long gone but the memories have not been erased. My personal memory of Phyllis is how she led the charge in the "women are great personalities, too" movement. Those who were there will know what that means. My sympathies for the...

Jim,
We read in the Journal that Phyllis passed away. Know that you are in our prayers during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Pauline and Ed Cairns

Mrs. Neumann was an amazing teacher and influence on my life. My thoughts are with her family.

Mrs. Neumann taught all of my children and my husband Jim taught with Phyllis at Edgewood H.S. We enjoyed the friendship we shared with her. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. May the memories we all have comfort each of us. She was a wonderful role model. God bless.

Phyllis was my teacher in high school, my cooperating teacher during student teaching, and my mentor during the most impressionable time of my life. Along with Tom Romano, she is responsible for the teacher I am today. Her kindness, generosity, and terrific sense of humor will be missed. I wish for peace for her loved ones.

I am so sad to hear of Mrs. Neumann's passing. I had her for Shakespeare & Creative Writing. I have nothing but fond memories and a deep admiration for her. Rest in peace, Mrs. Neumann, and thank you. EHS class of 76

While Phyllis taught both our daughters, and did a terrific job, but she was most special to me because she encouraged me to re-enter teaching full time after a lengthy hiatus on my part. She would request me as her substitute teacher when she had to be out of the classroom and then she would assure me that I had taught the classes exactly what she needed them to know. She was a great lady. Our prayers are with her family.
