I loved dancing with Pierre in Dancemakers, and had the chance to perform several duets with him. What a gentle, outrageous, soul. I remember his drawings and how closely akin they were to his gestures and his musculature. His grin - and many times just sitting together as he savoured a cigarette (Gauloise?) - somehow he'd make the smoke do the same nuanced swirling that his drawings did. I have indelible memories of Pierre from the time we spent dancing together, and I can hear his hearty, resounding laughter as clear as a bell . I am so happy to know that Pierre was well loved, that his world was so wide, and that his artist's soul had a voice right to the end.

Pierre was a wonderful friend with whom I shared many important moments in my early adulthood. As fellow students at York University's dance department, as professional dancers with Dancemakers and as occasional roommates, we navigated the late 1970s and early 1980s arts and gay communities in Toronto. I do remember Pierre from York University Dance Department
He was a student when I worked in the Dance Department.
Pierre was a talented Artist and his strong personality showed as he danced.
I enjoyed his sense of humour and he will be missed by his friends
