Porfirio Salazar Obituary

Porfirio "Pilo" Salazar, 88, went to be with Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He was born September 15, 1923 to Jose Zaragosa Salazar and Catarina Castillo Salazar in Sugar Land, Tx. He retired from US Steel of America after 36 years and was part of the U.S. Steel Workers of America Union.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Juanita Munoz Salazar; daughters, Gloria Garcia, Rosemary Medina and husband, Eddie; sons, Porfirio Salazar, Jr. and wife, Linda, Arthur Salazar and wife, Yeannette, Tony Salazar and wife, Gloria; 23 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 5-9pm at Forest Park Lawndale with a 7pm Rosary. The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11am at Forest Park Lawndale's Main Chapel with interment immediately following.

My condolences to the Salazar Family.New the family very well when I was growing up.My dad Jessie & Lucia Olmos would always go over on the weekends to hang out with them or to hear him play hi guitar. Wonderful man may he be in presents of Lord and rest in peace.
