Not sure what to say?

Remembering all the great things that we contributed and achieved working together Steve. It was a wonderful collaboration my friend. The Porsche Carrera 4 Cam Book has become a high mark and standard in the Porsche history and records world. You and your friend and co-author, Rolf Sprenger, who recently passed, will not be forgotten. May you both Rest In Peace.

Steve was what all men should aspire to, curious, focused, kind, involved, and one who used his good fortune to positive ends and to leave this world a better place for his having passed through it. I think of him often, and try my best to follow his example.

My cousin Steve was like the big brother I never had- Although we did not see each other often I could always count on him for solid advice and counsel. He will be missed very much! (Photo is 1950s egghunt at Grandma Heinrichs' in Reedley, CA)

Steve should be remembered for his tremendous contributions to the body of knowledge regarding the Porsche 356 and Carrera. He amassed a significant collection and he always made time to provide helpful information to those of us who are fortunate to own these wonderful cars.

The other part of his life saw him make significant contributions to cancer research while at the same time waging his own fight against it.

He'll be missed.

Met my Sigma Chi brother Steve through Porsche circles several years ago, what an outstanding man and a pleasure to have known him. My sincere condolences to his family.

Condolences to Dorothy and the Family. I was fortunate to get to know Steve over many years. I'm glad to say he was a friend.
I was able to attend the two great events he organized. He was very helpful in assisting me in establishing the race history of my Speedster. He was a great author and researcher of the Porsche marque and his efforts will certainly live on forever.

My condolences to Dorothy and the rest of Steve's family. Only Steve could produce the Speedster 50th Anniversary Event and the Porsche Race Car Classic. His pursuit of the facts and attention to detail have earned him a place in the pantheon of Porsche historians. Thank you for your friendship and trust. May you rest in peace.

A great friend and teacher to me about life in general. His convictions were honest and real but often differing from mine. As his illnesses progressed, I would tell Steve that I would think good thoughts and best wishes to him silently, every day. He would have to admit that those were "almost" as good as prayers, as "it's the thought that counts." Now, I extend good thoughts and condolences to his family and other friends. Steve will be missed.
