Rest In Peace, Dr. Tierney. A legend, in Nursing, and in life. You will always be remembered.

I last messaged with Grandma Rachel on Mother's Day this year. Little did I know she had passed until I decided to check on her today. My heart is broken because she meant the world to me and my children. Got to know her through PEO and was more like a mother to me. God rest her soul and keep her till we meet again. You touched the world, Rachel!! Theresa, Afia and Kofi. Umass Amherst.

Rachel and I were classmates and graduated in the class of 1962 at UMass. We kept in touch by Christmas cards all these years. Recently, Rachel brought together by Zoom those from the class of '62 . We met monthly and shared memories and current activities. It is hard to believe that she is gone. I loved her dearly! My deepest my sympathy to her large family!

She was a lovely and caring lady. She will be missed by all her friends at the Crafts Inn in Wilmington, VT.

Our eyes, briefly, see with a hurtful clarity. Our memory, suddenly sharpened, examines, gnaws on kind words unsaid, promised walks never...

Dear Tierney Families', I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. With regret, Sue Santos

She was present at Charles River Hospital West, in the 90's and may have been on their Board of Directors. She had a hand in everything Nursing, and was a proponent of Mental Health Nursing. Rachel was down to earth, and always remembered everyone. Always spoke a greeting no matter how busy she was. She always looked just so, and was a "Lady". I loved her....
