Not sure what to say?

Dear Elissa, I am so sorry to hear this - belatedly! Please accept my condolences, you must be heartbroken! David was such a mensch, and truly one of the most sincere and appreciative rabbis I ever worked with as a cantor. I am so saddened by this news, and sorry that I did not hear in time to attend the funeral or shiva. May David's memory bless you, and may you be held up on the wings of the Shekhina during this very sad time.

David and I have been close friends for over 20 years. I remember recommending him to the board of the Shaarei Tefilah synagogue in Saratoga, NY, when he first applied to become their rabbi, while I served the Shaarei Tefilah congregation in Glens Falls. NY.CA.

Had I known, I would have gladly flown to bid him farewell at his funeral.

May he be under God's loving embrace,...

Rabbi David- I so much enjoyed my many meetings with you over coffee and lunch and our walks around town were priceless. I appreciate all you have done for our community, your commitment, leadership and welcoming personality were such an inspiration. You will be missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.Bob Lister former Superintendent of Schools and Mayor of Portsmouth. More importantly, friend of Rabbi David
