My family lived next door to the Riddles in Garden Lakes. We played together with the Riddle boys all the time. Kran was my age. We loved hunting arrowheads in the neighborhood among so many happy memories. Great family! So very sad to come across this on FB.

Kran was a truly good guy. I went to school with him for 7 years at Darlington in Rome. He never had an unkind word for anybody. He was soft-spoken...one of the top students in our class of '69. I knew Karan professionally and was so saddened when I learned of this sad loss. He was kind and intelligent. He was a real gentleman. I won´t forget his smile.

We had the privilege of hosting Kran and Jody at our home in Maine last summer. Even though Kran was already going through some medical and cognitive difficulties, he was Jody's and mine (Barbara's) hero - he rescued us when we were lost in the hike up to the top of Mount Battie in Camden, he led the way back to civilization. What a great, fun, time we had that day!

Kran and I found a quite moment together at Chelsea´s wedding reception and he offered his condolences on the loss of my wife. We also spoke briefly about her passing as she was so young. I was so moved by his concern that it will forever be a memory of what a kind and compassionate man that Kran was.
