Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home - Evendale/Blue Ash Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Chadwick Logan announce Ralph’s passing, on March 23, 2021 at the age of 89 years. He is at home with his Lord and Savior.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Van E. and Pearl T. (nee Tipton) Logan, as well as his beloved wife of 64 years, Martha. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Melissa (Joseph) and Nancy (Doug), and will be forever remembered as “Papa,” a title he revered, by his five grandchildren; Adam (Christie), Lauren (Sean), Meghan, Brian, Ian (Becca) and his great grandchildren; Charlotte, Regan, George and Logan.

Ralph’s greatest joys came from the life he and Martha built together and the family they shared it with. A talented craftsman, Ralph built his first home with Martha in Fairview Heights, IL. His ability to solve any problem was invaluable; from repairing plumbing to installing flooring, Ralph would always answer your call with a smile, laughter and a pair of helping hands.

A creative man, Ralph enjoyed letter writing, journaling and was known for his beautiful landscape oil paintings. A favorite place for Ralph to share his creativity was in the kitchen. There, he would come up with new and delicious flavor combinations and enjoyed recreating treasured meals from his travels for his friends and family. The times when Ralph was in the kitchen are memories that we all hold onto fondly.

A devout Christian, Ralph spent much of his time teaching Sunday School classes, serving on the church boards and committees, and participating in one of his biggest passions, the church choir.

Ralph’s memory is rooted in faith, rich in laughter, boasting in creativity and filled with strength and love.

The family will hold a private service. Arrangements provided through Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be shared at www.mrfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the following website, https://ralphlogan.weebly.com/

Not sure what to say?

I first met Ralph when we both joined a small group Bible study for businessmen. We'd meet on alternate Fridays for breakfast and fellowship. I then discovered he was a neighbor of my in-laws in Blue Ash. When I wanted a financial advisor to help my young family, who else would I turn to? His planning was invaluable and his Christ centered approach to all of life was so very evident. My condolences to all the family.

Dear friends, I´ve just learned of precious Ralph´s transition into heaven. Heaven is a much richer paradise with his sweet, sweet soul! Please know I´m so very sorry for your earthly loss. I had the privilege to know Ralph for 20 years, as the receptionist at VSR Financial Services, where he was a financial planner. He & I shared a deep love for Christ & family. Throughout our friendship, he was a powerful Christian mentor to me & an amazing example of Christ´s pure love. Ralph is &...

Thinking of your family,I know how close your family is. Martha loved how you would spend Christmas Eve night at their house every year. They were so gracious to share their home many times for our Life Group I loved how they were a team and your Dad was lost without her,I know he is happy to be with his Martha once more. Thoughts and prayers for your family during this time

Ralph was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor! Many great memories of he and Martha hosting family gatherings after church at First Baptist in Wheaton. Missy and Nancy, I am very sorry for the loss of both Ralph and Martha here on earth but look forward to more family gatherings in Eternity :)

Melissa and Nancy, our hearts go out to you and your family. Ralph was truly a blessing to the lives he touched at Mt. Carmel.

Ralph and Martha were a very loving couple. We were blessed to have known them as fellow church members. They gave us good advice. We enjoyed the Christmas parties at their house. They had servants' hearts. We miss them but will see them again and rejoice that they are in heaven together.

God's blessings,

Gerald and Cathy Wallace

Ralph and Martha welcomed us with open arms when we moved to Cincinnati to serve at Mt Carmel. The love they showed us was more than words can say. My favorite memories of Ralph are singing in the choir and our Easter and Christmas programs - also when we sang a solo together. What a dear man he was to our family. Praying for all of you!

We both cherished Ralph as a good friend and valued advisor. We will value the many memories we have of Ralph, Martha.

Mimi/Lauren and Family, I am so sorry about the great loss of your father and sweet papa. What a lucky man he was to have you all in his life. Sending many hugs and prayers during this time. Love you both. Xoxo.
