Every time I was with Ray I had fun! What a great guy. I'll miss him too.
I'm really sorry that Ray was not up to staying in China. When Marty and I visited, Brenda's driver, Andy, took us to some of Ray's favorite places. We enjoyed the time spent there while we were missing him.
Ray was one of those rare people whose time on earth was too short. Everyone who knew him will miss him.

I really got close to Ray when he was in High School. He chose to live outside his parents house in a wooden play house that he some how fit a water bed in there and a stereo. That should have been a sign to us all, but I wasn't looking for a sign. I was too busy being amazed, amused, excited, at times appalled and exasperated, but always enchanted with Ray's spirit. So many memories of our first wives...kids and countless other escapades that won't be shared but always cherished. Ray and I lost contact for many years and just in the past few years because of Facebook or some new thing, did we connect again. I had just left Shanghai on yet another trip to find out he was living there! We never got a chance to see each other but the emails began. Some directly others passed on by Hall's family about the fight to beat cancer.
To Ray's family and friends, I offer my sincere condolences to your loss. To all I cheer Ray's life. He will not be forgotten ever.

Ray is a wonderfully prominent feature in the history of my life. Not by any manufactured plot, Ray naturally confounded conventionality, ingeniously irritated institutions, and unapologetically colored outside the lines . . . and brilliantly so. I always admired Ray’s incredible creativity and zeal for adventure. But most of all I appreciated his courage to break ranks and live the life he wanted to live. Ray had a huge heart and he was a loyal best friend to me through thick and thin. I am lucky to have known him. Although his passing breaks my heart, I also can’t help but envision Ray happily ensconced in the next life and already flashing that wildly mischievous grin I know so well. All my love and sympathy goes out to the Overall family in this very difficult time. I know Ray’s passing is a crushing blow and I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Marty and I were so happy to have Ray join the family. When we visited China last year Brenda's driver, Andy, kept us in stitches with tales of Ray's exploits and his one man people to people campaign in Shanghai. We so missed his presence then, as we do now. He was a wonderful person to be around.

When I met Ray for the first time at our family reunion it felt like I knew him for years. He fit right in, and with his own style of larger than life personality, instantly became the star of the event. The way he lived his life is an example to all - he will be truly missed.

I have many fond memories of our family reunions where Ray showed his humor, his patience, and his sweetness.
We all enjoyed his and Brenda's restoration of the 100 year old PA house. Chuck and I were visiting when Ray got word that their home was to be honored by the town of Easton for the improvements.

Ray we only had a few encounters, but I learned to admire you in those times. kayo
