We grew up next to the Kos family on Brookhaven. Randy was older than I but I knew him well through my and his siblings. With his devilish smile, curly hair and hot rod blue Challenger he was one of the "cool" guys but he was always nice to me and the younger kids in the neighborhood. We still laugh when we recall how Randy turned 19 on New Years Eve and could buy beer for one day until the law changed on January first raising the age to 21. We have great memories of Randy. He loved to swim. His mom and I would load up the station wagon with our kids, and a pcnic lunch. We would drive to the Wilmington Recreation Club's beach for a wonderful time.
