Not sure what to say?

Marlene, I just now learned of Ray´s death last month. He was a valued colleague for many years, and more importantly, a good friend as well. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I shall keep you and him in my prayers.

Ray hired me from GW Law and I worked with him for years at Howrey. He was a kind, patient teacher and colleague for all my years at Howrey. I took my first depositions when he came down with the flu, but did not hesitate to send me to Idaho with the instruction: "make sure they each take a week" once a client explained to Ray and me that we had to stop flying first class, but cut the meeting short to catch the Concorde. We has lots of fun and hard work together. Marlene had Jenny and I to...

Dear Mrs. Bolze and family. My heart was saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Bolze. I think on the many years that we worked together, starting when John was only three years old, having seen Dorie, Steve and John go up to become such wonderful adults. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you all. I pray that God comforts and strengthens your hearts as only he can as you reflect on the wonderful memories and the great legacy that he leaves. Love and Prayers, Bernie Power. Note in my...

We were so sad to hear of Ray's passing. He and Marlene were such wonderful neighbors to my parents in Chatham, MA. They were always so nice and welcomed us into their home whenever we went to the Cape for a visit. Ray was so kind to our sons- taking them out on the boat so they could enjoy tubing or (attempted) waterskiing. As they got older, he would lend them their kayaks so they could venture out on Oyster Pond. We will always have very fond memories of our time with Ray and Marlene.

A wonderful person and a great friend of Penn State and the liberal arts; he and Marlene were both generous leaders in helping Dean Susan Welch raise the quality of the college and in helping deserving students. To a life well lived, Ray Lombra

From 1980 until 1984, I was an economist at Howrey and Simon where Ray mentored me. He took the risk of giving me assignments just beyond my experience that enabled me to expand my capabilities. Since 1990, I have run a very rewarding business financing electric power microgrids. I am sure that I would not have found my way without Ray's advice and encouragement. Thank you Ray and condolences to your family.

I shared Ray's years on our Museum of American History Docent Council and had many engaging discussions with him in our Docents Lounge during our lunch breaks. He was as generous with his friendship and very positive attitude as he was sharing his knowledge of our American History.

Worked with Ray as a fellow docent during his 20 year service at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History conducting tours for many visitors and veterans. Fond memories of his friendship and sharing of ideas to improve visitor's experience.
