Not sure what to say?

I'm proud to say that Ray was one of my very best friends while we attended junior high school together in Yazoo City, Mississippi. He was always a little ahead of me in his worldly wisdom...he had to explain the Supremes song, "Love Child" to me on our way back from a Truth concert in Canton, MS. I love the whole Clower family, having been in their home numerous times for TV football games and for Miss Homerline to hear me recite memory verses for my Bible Memory Association assignments. ...

Ray was one of my best friends when we were in junior high schoo in Yazoo City, Mississippi. I remember he had to explain the Supremes song "Love Child" to me on the way back from hearing Truth sing at First Baptist Church, Canton, MS. It was an honor to know his whole family, to be in the Clower's home for TV football games and for Homerline to hear me recite memory verses as part of my Bible Memory Association work. When people ask me if I knew Jerry Clower, I tell them that Ray and I went...

I am blessed to have known Ray as a co-worker and even more blessed to have counted him among my friends. He never failed to inspire the children he taught or to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. He was a kind and gentle man who will always be remembered for trying to bring happiness to others. God has taken his child home where I know he will be at peace.

Mr. Closer was more than a teacher to me he was a friend and like a family member. He always could tell when something was wrong or goin on with me. He cared about his students like they were his own kids. He treated each of us differently but all in a special day. He also was my softball coach. I loved hearing the story of how the deer ran into the car it was hilarious. Mr. Clower will always be a part of my life. I loved his wisdom that he put I. Everything. My thoughts and prayers go to...

Just noticed Ray's passing. Grew up down the street, went to school and church with Ray. Heard Uncle Jerry's coon hunting stories long before the rest of the world. The Clower's were always good people. Though I have not seen in many decades, I have many great memories growing up with Ray in Yazoo City.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the Clower fmly. We are saddened by your loss.

Coach Clower was my 7th grade science teacher at Bayou View Jr. High and has always been my favorite teacher. I looked forward to attending his class because he made everyone feel special and loved. I even tried to fail his class so that I could be in it another year but he was such a great teacher that you had to learn and succeed.

Coach Clower will forever be remembered as a great teacher and awesome person. May you rest in peace.

Heaven has gained an angel and my life is much richer for having known him. Wonderful teacher & friend to all his students. My prayers are with your family
