Ray B. Witmer NEWMANSTOWN Ray B. Witmer, 71, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Linda M. Pletz Witmer. He was born in Terre Hill on December 31, 1941, a son of the late Paul and Jennie Burkholder Witmer. Ray was a former supervisor for the Lentz Milling Company. He was a life member of the Myerstown VFW, Post 6076, Guardian Angels Motorcycle Club, an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Denise Babbitt of S.C.; son, Anthony Scott Witmer, Reinholds; step son, John McAnaney of Pine Grove; step daughter, Christine McAnaney of Pottsville; grandchildren; brothers, Sylvan B. husband of Loretta Witmer of Womelsdorf; Samuel B. husband of Mary Witmer of Denver; Melvin B. husband of Esther Witmer of Darbun, Mississippi; sister, Pauline wife of Noah Zimmerman of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Babbitt; sister, Elsie B. Herr and brother, Paul B. Witmer. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
