Raymond G. Baker

Raymond G. Baker, longtime resident of Evendale, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 at the age of 85. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan before his family relocated to the Cincinnati area. 

Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janet (Owczarzak) Baker; son, Jeffrey N. (Nancy) Jones; extended family, friends, and three cat companions, Mimi, Freddy, and Louie. 

Raymond attended the University of Cincinnati and completed his degree at Wittenburg University. He built his career in insurance as an agent for Allstate before beginning his own business, Ray Baker Insurance. He was an avid reader and writer of stories and skits. Ray was a member of the former Church of God in Hamilton (now BridgeWater Church) and longtime member of Kiwanis. Ray had soft spot in his heart for animals. After retirement, he rescued over 70 cats by providing neutering and other necessary services.
