Raymond Bianchini Obituary

Raymond W. Bianchini Sr. (Buddy) left this world on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, losing his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in New Orleans and was 74 years old. Mr. Bianchini was the owner of a five generation oyster harvesting business. He was an active member of LA Oyster Harvesters Association and Oyster Growers of LA. Mr. Bianchini was married first to the late Cecilia Keir and then shared his life with his partner of 18 years Carol Lyons. Mr. Bianchini was the son of the late Dominick Bianchini and the late Rita Bealer Bianchini. Survivors include his daughter Mary Evans (Tony), as well as two sons, Raymond Bianchini Jr. (Jan) and Michael Bianchini (Ashlee). He was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Relatives and friend are invited to attend the funeral at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA, on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.

Mary, Ray and Michael, I am so sorry about the loss of Buddy. He was a pillar for the Bianchini families, always there when someone needed him and he knew how to always make people feel good when in his presence.
