Dear Betty and family, We were surprised at Ray's passing. Just happened to see it Thursday in the obituaries. We could not be at mass for Ray due to a conflict. Know that you certainly were in our thoughts and we pray that God gives you comfort in the days ahead. Ray will be missed. We valued our friendship that spans decades.... Sending our love and hugs. Ray and I played football together at Reynoldsville High, under "Coach" Clarke and Mike Antonetti. He played End and I played Tackle, right beside him. Ray graduated two years ahead of me and we rarely saw each other until the late 1970"s. At that time, I was working in Sullivan County, PA and we somehow reconnected. Ray, his son Chris, my daughter Deanna and I shared some wonderful fishing and backpacking trips in the remote backwoods of Sullivan County. Then, in 1980, Ray and I came to...

I knew Ray through my father, Jim Philp. I tagged along on a number of outdoor adventures with Dad, Ray and Chris as a child. I knew Ray to be a good man and I am sorry for your loss.
