Not sure what to say?

It's almost a year and it still hurts that you're gone. I know that is selfish, but I do find comfort in knowing you are in a better place and not hurting anymore...
love to you forever my friend
Sandy and Aaron

Our favorite memories of Grandpaw...

Grandpaw - "I know a man"
reponse - "what man"
Grandpaw - "the man of who do"
response - "who do?"
Granpaw - "you do"
response - "do what?"
Grandpaw - "I know a man"...
He would say this quicker each time - over and over again

When eating neck bones
"Save the bones for Henry Jones cuz' he don't eat no meat". Save the fat for Mrs. Jones cuz she don't like the bones.

How he called...

Dear Dad,
What can I say, there's no words to express how lucky I am to have you for my Dad. I'm only sorry our time was so short. I can't say this enough, anyone can become a father, but it takes a great man to be a DAD. They say you should give away the roses while I'm here not when I'm gone. That he did over & over & over to everyone, everywhere. I've heard many things said about my Dad, they are all good. That's what made him great. Never a dull moment. I love you with all my heart,...

Dearest Ray,

Thinking of all of the tough love you showed me and the conversation we had when I took you out to dinner to do the respectful thing in asking for your daughters hand in marriage. I know that in your own way that you approved. I highly respected you and I know that you knew over that last drink together that I would take care of your "baby" and the boys.

I thank God for knowing you and I can see where Sheila gets some of her traits from. May you be free...

Uncle Raymond,
We will all miss you. We love you!
The Bloomers

Ray you taught me so much. I will miss you always. You brought great joy to mine and my Mom's life. You were such a wonderful and loving person. When God made you he broke the mold. There will never be another Ray!!!! Love you so much, Toni and LaDell

Raymond always treated family like friends and friends like family. It was his gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed.

Uncle Ray,
We love you and will miss you so much. You always brought excitement with you where ever you were. We are gonna miss your hard work at the reunions. We love you always!!! Your neice!! Sissy

My strength has been in knowing that he is now peacefully sleeping, he fought hard was surrounded by loved ones until the very end. He repeatedly told me that "he'd be here" (referring to my upcoming December wedding). I knew it was up to God's will though; and I would accept his timing. I learned many, many things from my Dad, one that comes to mind was his Good Samaritianship through simple acts of kindness in Raymonds way, of course. I feel that I am most like him in that respect. The last...
