Not sure what to say?

This is so weird to be writing this today, as I had a dream about Ray last night. I remember him stopping by the house when he first started dating Denise. He was so happy and had a grin from ear to ear. I so miss our chats. You are thought about often. Rest in Peace

Today is Valentine´s Day 2023, and it´s been over a year since you passed and I think of you everyday, missing your friendship and counsel and conversations, ruminating about the "job" and life in general, and whether there was "something" beyond this mortal coil. You are truly missed. Semper Fidelis my brother. Kevin McArdle, Newton Fire retired.

Deepest condolences to the family of Ray McNamara. I did not know him personally, but I was friends with his brother, Robin, who sadly predeceased Ray by just two and a half months. The brothers are together again in heaven with their parents. Ray's story, which can be found on Robin's website, is very inspiring. He was a hero in every sense of the word. Family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Denise and Family, We remember Ray, before and after the accident, participating in the many road races around Newton. To say he was an inspiration was an understatement. Not many of us have the courage to fight our way back as Ray did and live a happy and fulfilling life. So incredible. A real life hero. Our deepest sympathy to you all. Very sad news. My dad was a firefighter. You guys are the heart and soul of world as we know it. Rest in peace Mr.Ray Mac.

To Denise and the entire McNamara family and extended family I would like to extend my condolences on Ray´s passing. He lived a life that we should all try to emulate with grace, kindness and great courage. I loved him like a brother.

Met Ray about 15 years ago. Was amazed and in awe of the love he had and shared with Denise. He never forgot any conversation he and I may have had. I remember just watching them dance to one of his endless list of music. He was an amazing, strong and role model to us all as to how to love and enjoy everyday that God gives us. Time to rest Ray. May his memory be a blessing. Joanne and Becky

Ray was a great man. He will be missed by all.

I remember Ray from the 50's at the Franklin Playground on Derby Street in West Newton. As a kid he was always a fun loving and energetic person. Even then he loved the Red Sox. His life should be an inspiration to us all. Rest in peace Ray.
