I am one of Ray's former students who had become a lifelong friend. He was a tremendously influential mentor to me and a dear friend. I just learned of his passing while casually looking through a UC Davis Alumni Newsletter that was e-mailed to me today. I'm so sad...I cannot express it! I was just reading his last letter to me the other day, when he wrote to tell me of Sharon's passing. We spoke this past Fall and his heart was so obviously broken. I felt deeply for his pain. I met Ray this summer on his visit to St Louis. I know that he was hurting terribly from losing Sharon and hope that he has found the peace and the answers he was looking for.

We were so saddened to hear of the passing of Ray. It seems almost like yesterday that Sharon Left us. They were such a great part of Sciots with the dinners,decorations and just being part of the Sciot's Family.always involved in our activities.

I own a cabin up where Ray and Sharon had theirs and was very sorry to hear about his passing.He and Sharon are together again-I know he missed her dearly. It was great to have known the two of them and I sincerely offer my deepest sympathy and send my condolences to all of you. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all.

To the family of Ray Parnas -
I will always remember Ray and Sharon for their contributions to the
camp. Ray got our defibrulators for
emergency heart patients and Sharon was the undisupted "Bean Feed" Queen! They also took the
prize for the best table decorations
at the Fourth of July Picnics!
They were well loved and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers
are with you at this time.
