As a high school friend of Danene´s I spent a lot of time at the Shangle´s home. I remember long conversations with Ray about politics and labor relations and he would tease me about my opposing views (he called me Republican and I called him Democrat). I learned so much from him about looking at things from a different perspective. That really helped me when I worked as a floor supervisor at GM one Summer.He had so many great stories about growing up in Estey and just life in general. He was...

Ray was one of the first neighbors we met when we moved into the neighborhood so many years ago. He was such a kind man, full of stories and a smile on his face. We´ll always treasure getting to know him while out on a daily walk or chatting on the street or his backyard. Our dog Bandit really took a shine to Ray and would want to stop and say hello whenever we crossed paths. Sadly Bandit passed earlier this month but it´s comforting to know they are crossing paths once again. Our...
