We send our deepest sympathies. We remember Ray as a neighbor on Coronado "I".

Rest in peace Ray you were great swim buddy in BUD/S Class 54. You served our nation well HOOYAH Ray !

My deepest condolences to you Kathleen and your family. It was always nice to see you and Ray at the USS Floyd B. Park´s mini reunions. A Bravo Zulu to the Admiral for a life well lived and to you for always being there. Fair winds and following seas.....

Kathleen and family, we are deeply saddened to read of Ray's passing; please accept our deepest sympathies. As a Surface Warfare Officer, I loved working with Ray and his abilities to think beyond the problem and find superb solutions. My God grant Ray everlasting peace.

Truly a legend. A Man´s man and absolutely the nicest guy on the planet. I remember many a pleasant time with him.

Smith family, I am so sorry for your loss. Admiral Smith was such a wonderful man and I feel truly blessed to have known him. He is a True American Hero and I vividly recall when he left for Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He missed our senior football season at USD, but we were able to move on with our lives because he was taking care of the safety of our country and other countries. When he was called, he was there. I will always have wonderful memories of my interactions with Admiral...

My sincerest condolences to Kathleen, and all the Smith family. In 1967 I had the privilege of being a bosun aboard the USS Floyd B. Parks when a young LTJG--R. C. Smith came aboard and assumed duties as division officer of the deck force. From day one everyone knew that he was going to be our kind of leader. I have nothing but deep respect for RADM Smith for all that he has accomplished over his years of dedicated service. One of my fondest memories will always be when he and his wife...
