Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Sioux Falls Obituary

On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, Regan Laura Fox Laughlin, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sponsor, coach, and friend passed away unexpectedly. Regan was born on July 9th, 1974 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to her parents Sandy and Jim Fox.

Regan grew up in Sioux Falls, SD after her family relocated from Minneapolis. She attended Catholic school her entire life, from St. Mary’s to O’Gorman High School, where she graduated in 1992. Upon graduation, Regan attended the University of South Dakota for a short time before taking a break and giving birth to her first daughter, Haley Marie. Regan had a deep love for being a mother and nothing gave her more joy than her two girls. She married the absolute love of her life, Cullan, on February 25th, 2000. They celebrated more than 20 years of marriage and their deep love shined in each other. The love they shared was a once in a lifetime experience. After a few years together, Regan and Cullan decided they wanted to expand their family. They had another precious girl, Alexandra Ryan, on March 11th, 2001. The most important thing in Regan’s life was her family. She told everyone she knew how much she loved her husband and her girls. They were the center of her world.

Regan had such an ambitious drive in every aspect of life. She was always hungry to learn, grow, and teach others the wisdom she gathered during her lifetime. Regan went to Colorado Tech to receive her Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration. Following a career working in the healthcare space, she knew she wanted something more in life. Regan had a love for real estate since the age of 18 years old and finally took the plunge in her early forties. She passionately worked as realtor of Sioux Falls at EXP brokerage. She loved to teach and share her passion for selling houses and delivering excellent service to all of her clients. Many of her clients quickly turned into friends because Regan was so incredibly giving and cared deeply about the people she knew.

Blessed to have shared her life with: her husband, Cullan; her daughters, Haley (Connor) Nerland & Allie Laughlin, mother, Sandy Justus, sisters, Erin Fox & Alyssa Justus, Mother & Father In-Law, Sue & Gary VanDoren, Sisters In-Laws, Amy Mitchell & Brandi VanDoren, many cousins, nieces and nephews; her dogs, Sweet Pea, Ella, & Izzy, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Fox, her maternal grandparents, Darlene & Allan Hagestuen, her paternal grandmother, Mattie Wood, her uncles, Gerald (Uncle Bud) Fox & Charlie Catchpole, her aunts Mary Ann Catchpole & Kathy Alesi, cousin, Randy Reit, and other extended family members.

A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2020, at St. Marys Catholic Church in Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home. www.heritagesfsd.com.

Not sure what to say?

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I received a letter in the mail last week which is how found out the my Hero Regan had passed. I am in disbelieve. I am deeply sadden. Words cannot express how this news has impacted me and how much it hurts. Regan was an amazing woman. Regan diligently looked for the perfect home for me. During the months of home searching I shared personal details with her. Regan was always a great listener. It was because of Regan, my experience of a first time home buyer was a great one. Keeping you all...

Please know your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Regan was a wonderful person and will be remembered by everyone who knew her. My heart goes out to all of you. God bless you and your family.

This is heartbreaking and I am so sorry. Rest in Peace beautiful cousin and may God bless your soul. Love and prayers❤

Regan, I don't know where to start, how to think or even feel. I know we hadnt talked in years, but we share the same sister, mom, nieces and nephews. I know your happy Dancing in Heaven with papa Jim. You touched so many lives and will never be forgotten. My deepest love to Cullan and girls. May you rest in peace and live the eternal life in bliss. Love you.

Goodbye, Regan... I'm glad that you're at peace. You touched SO many hearts and lives over the years... I don't know if you realize how many. I'm glad you were at mom's to see her before she passed in August; I think it meant a lot to her.

Eternal Affection Arrangement- BASKET INCLUDED

My Deepest sympathies to Regan's entire family! She was so amazing and successful in her life! She gave so much to others and loved her family more! I really can't express how much this news hurts me! All of you are in my prayers.

“My pleasure!” Is what she would text back each time, at the end of our communication, Realtor to Realtor, last year during her personal home sale transaction. It truly was a ‘pleasure’ to have met and worked with Regan. Keeping all of her loved ones close in thought and prayer during this difficult time of grief.
