Renee Lynn Kucewicz

I met Renee in 1988, a lifetime ago it seems, on a blind date at Pete´s Pizza restaurant in Midtown Sacramento. These type of awkward and arranged dates rarely work out but this one did, and I feel blessed by the gift of this wonderful woman in my life at that time. Renee was a beautiful, kind soul, extremely creative in a variety of media, an animal lover and an excellent cook, funny as hell and possessing a flair for interior design leaning heavily towards Fin de siècle and 1920s Art...

Renee was a one-of-a-kind, good-natured person who was a joy to work with. We toiled for a few years at the Governor´s Office of Planning and Research more than 30 years ago. Even though that was some time ago, I still miss her gentle, kind spirit, and always will. May the memories of her love for her family sustain all of you through today and onto brighter tomorrows.
