Not sure what to say?

I can't believe it has been 10 years since this traumatic day. I still think about Rick and look at his picture on my mantle every day. He was a great guy and so much fun. Warmly, Janet Janet

Rick:I just learned of your untimely passing & am deeply shocked & saddened. You were a first class person, athlete, & money manager which benefitted all who knew you. My condolenses to your close friends & family. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Rick,
Our lives were a happier place for the past two years. I will always cherish the many memories, especially our trips together. I know we had much, much more planned for years to come, but alas, it was cut short. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life and showing me the incredible man you were. I will always miss you and love you.
Love, Janet

It was with great sadness that we learned of Mr. Aster's death. Although we did not know Mr. Aster personally, my husband and I have trusted him like a friend. As modest shareholders in Meridian Fund since 1987, we have counted on Mr. Aster's intellect and skilled portfolio management. Thanks to his talent, we were able to purchase a home, help our kids with college expenses, and hope to some day retire. Mr. Aster's obituary reveals a man as much involved with his family and community as...

I am truly saddened by Rick's untimely death. It was always a pleasure to chat and occasionally spar with him over coffee or a glass of wine. My deepest condolences to his children and other family members. We've lost a good and kind man.

I have nothing but good memories of my years sharing offices with Rick in the 70's and 80's. In addition we shared many hard fought tennis matches; a respect for Milton Friedman or "Uncle Miltie' as Rick would call him, and of course a continued fascination with the money game.

Goodbye, my friend.

I got to know Rick at the Bay Club, and was impressed with his grasp of politics and economics. The planet has lost a good citizen.

Rick was one of my closest friends in high school and college. He was a groomsman in my wedding. Didn't see him much recently, but always enjoyed our occasional get-togethers. Too many memories of our fun times together to go into here, but they are memories I treasure.

I have known Rick 'Rickie' since the seventh grade. He was so kind and intelligent-great basketball player - then college and my Economics class where he excelled!!! I still remember the smiles.....kindness.
