Dick Buchanan will be greatly missed and will always be dear to our family. He was a guide and mentor to me from my boyhood and introduced me to the beauty of Alaskan nature. Our love for your whole family at this time.

Dick Buchanan will always hold a special place in my heart. I am blessed to have known him. On my first trip to Alaska with Michael Buchanan, I was introduced to his wonderful family and felt so welcome. Dick was always very kind to me, and such fun to be around. He introduced me to fly fishing, and gave me the experience of seeing the beauty of Alaska. Taking me and mike on some spectacular adventures in remote places. A classic gentleman with a soft sweet humor. He will be greatly missed I am sure by his family.

I had the wonderful experience of working with Dr. Buchanan at IMA. He always had a smile and was so kind to employees and patients. He will be missed. My prayers go out for his friends and family as they face the loss of this amazing man.

Dr. Buchanan was my Dr. for over 20 years until he retired. He was a very caring person and a wonderful doctor. I am sorry he has passed - the world will be a sad place without him. Rest in peace and may God place his arms around you.
