Rest in peace Uncle Richard - I have fond childhood memories of you that I will always cherish.

I only met Mr. Byrd a few times, but each one was memorable. He was just a really nice guy. He proudly leaves behind a loving and strong family. They are a wonderful legacy of which he was proud. Mr. Byrd was a friend to everyone, he could talk to anyone and make them feel like they were important to him. He will surely be missed. My sympathies to the family and everyone who will miss him.

My heartfelt sympathies to Richard's family. He was my friend for many years, his generosity and selflessness helped my family stay together during hard times, he helped, with no thought for himself, he helped, with no reward, he helped. I will never forget him. He is one person who, I believe, anyone who was lucky enough to know him benefited from it. To me, Richard was one in a million, the wold is less without him.
He will be sorely missed.

I was sorry to hear of your Father passing. I remember your Dad,Byrdie,Kay and Danielle being one of the first persons my family met when we came to Ft. Wayne. He was such a kind and caring person. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Wish I would have said "Thanks" to Richard in person. It saddens me that I didn't make the time, however ill always remember him being a part of my childhood and keeping me safe. Peace
