I just found out today of Coach Carlson's passing by the fact that he had just crossed my mind and I tried to look him up. I'm very sorry to hear this news. He was a kind man and a great tennis coach. I was a student athlete of his at Ceres High from '89-'93. We were able to win a Valley Oak League championship for Coach Carlson my junior year in '92. Dick was one of the "good guys" that I knew. He had a big heart and was a loyal friend. He was a little crazy in his younger years but turned things around and was a success as a father and husband. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
