I just found out today of Coach Carlson's passing by the fact that he had just crossed my mind and I tried to look him up. I'm very sorry to hear this news. He was a kind man and a great tennis coach. I was a student athlete of his at Ceres High from '89-'93. We were able to win a Valley Oak League championship for Coach Carlson my junior year in '92. For my Junior and senior years during the summer coach Carlson was able to get us Junior League memberships to his SOS club which I really enjoyed being that I came from a family that in no way could I ever afford that experience. Some of my best high school memories and experiences I owe to coach Carlson. My condolences.

Dick was a wonderful person. We will never forget the trip the four of us took to Laughlin Nevada, he always had something funny to say to make us laugh, he made the trip very enjoyable. Will always be in our hearts.

Dick was surely a gem of a person. He will be missed for his goodness in life. Stay strong and know there is a whole community at your side."
"He was an amazing friend, husband, and exceptional human being. Frank and I were blessed that we shared over 15 years of travel with you and Dick what special memories to think of when times seem lonely. That is what helps me through those tough days that will come. Remember I am always here for you to lean on.

Dick was one of the "good guys" that I knew. He had a big heart and was a loyal friend. He was a little crazy in his younger years but turned things around and was a success as a father and husband. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

We are so sorry for your loss! Dick will be greatly missed! He was so patient teaching Mandy how to ride her bike when she refused to let us do it, and he devoted a lot of time coaching all four of the girls in tennis. They were all great players because of it! Thanks to you both for supporting ALL of their school fundraisers too! We miss being your neighbors!
