Dear Dorothy, D'Arlen, Hunter and Ciara, Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We are so sorry to hear of Richard's passing and we mourn with you. May God bless each of you with good memories of times you spent with Richard. Hunter I was with your grandparents when you were playing football and weight lifting. My son, Jacob was playing football against your team and weight lifting against your team. But we had such a good time visiting while we watched you play. Your granddad was very proud of you. I know you will miss him. Remember whom he served and lived his life for. You can't go wrong following his footsteps. May God bless all of you.

My name is Daniel wayne Cawthon and I never remember met your family. My family originated from Tennessee going way back but in modern times established a family graveyard in Crandall, Texas. With this little bit of background I might be kin to Richard. Don't know and the only reason I bring it up is that through my life the Cawthon name has been rare. I'll be 75 in September. In recent times I've been half heartedly trying to do genealogy and this is the first time I saw a Cawthon in the Austin newspaper. I hope I did not ramble too much and wish your family my deepest condolences.

I just heard and my prayers are with you all. You can be comforted to know that he is in the arms of The Lord now and that he suffers no more. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. He was a wonderful man and I have many memories of him from high school days with D'Arlen. I wish God's peace on you all.
