Dickie -

Your friends and your family may not all be ready to say "good-bye". You left us suddenly, but not without countless fabulous memories of so many wonderfully entertaining times spent with you. Some of us may just wait a while to say that final goodbye.

Over many years you entertained us and hundreds of other people with your wit, humor and up-beat ways. Forever the optimist, your positive attitude made you a natural leader. When you met with a newly elected...

I will miss Dickie more than I can say, and he'll be missed by so many friends he had. He was the funniest person I ever had the pleasure of knowing. He had the quickest wit and sense of humor of anyone I've ever met. What fun times we all had throughout the years. I hope he'll find Tommy up there and they will continue their long friendship. So long for now, my friend!

I want to express my deepest condolences to Sue and Dick's family. I have known Dick since 1981 shortly after I was elected Powell County Judge Executive. As the man leading the Governor's office of Local Government, I sought his help with state funding for extending clean water to residents in need and a vigorous economic development program. He assisted us with three industrial development projects that ultimately created 450 new jobs for our community. He became a good friend during this...

Dear Sue, a voice from the past. Saw the notice of the passing of your husband today and wanted to give you my sympathies. He sounds like a delightful man and that life together for you has been a good one. That is much to be grateful but I'm so sorry for your loss.

So many happy memories with the Cole family. Dick was always polite, professional and impossible to be around without laughing! Tremendous intellect and keen sense of humor galloped throughout the Cole family especially Dickie! May you RIP Pal! Condolences to the family.

I was looking forward to meeting Dickie for the first time at our planned get-together in March. So very sorry, Sue.
