I only knew Dick a very little. I sat with him in the church love feasts and gospel meetings and ate and we talked. He seemed so upbeat all the time. I did know his son Phil a little better. I once picked up Phil after school downtown and sure enough he was sitting and leaning against a wall reading the bible. Students were all over passing by but Phil was focussed. That has become a lasting impression in me. I only knew Dick's son, Greg, in the meetings. These 3 brothers in the Lord I will always thank the Lord for. For Dick, Phil and Greg and their families thank You Lord.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dick, just a little in Cleveland in the '70's. We got to talking and he mentioned how he loved the Lord Jesus. I got to fellowship with his son Greg a little and also spent some time with his son Phil. Over the years I have prayed a lot for Phil and Georgia but have no idea how they are doing. The Comforts were a beautiful family who loved the Lord. The Lord knows them who are His.

To all the Comfort family.
It was a privilege knowing Dick! A very unassuming man with great character and love for his family! His quiet, generous and giving nature has been passed on to his next generation! He will be missed greatly by all those his life touched. I know that God the Father was waiting with open arms for him. Bless all of you!

Oh how we will miss Mr Comfort at First Community Village. He was a very dear man and he provided such great insights in our Bible studies. His love for Dottie was deep and very dear. We wish we would have had a chance to tell him how much we love him and say goodbye. Our hearts are with Dottie and the family.
