Very saddened to hear this. I knew Dick for years; he taught for a long time at Curry College. Great guy, kind man, liked him a lot. My deepest condolences to Dick's family.

One of Mr Cotters Omega students, I am happy to share that he was a positive roll model at NHS. We called him Robo Cop because he stood for justice. He looked out for all of us and provided a chance to do better. I´m grateful for his kindness and encouragement in my life. He will be missed. My condolences to the Cotter family.

Dr. Cotter was my mentor as a teacher and continued to be my mentor and friend as we would speak twice per year. Even in retirement he still took the time to be my mentor. I am forever grateful to him for having helped me in so many ways. He would take full command of a classroom and keep every student fully engaged with a simple piece of chalk and his formidable knowledge and presence. He was a special person and I was honored to have known him.
