I was so saddened to hear of Dick's passing. I wish I had the right words for you... just know you are being thought of by so many people... love you all.

Dear Mrs. Epstein and David:
It was with great sadness and the fondest memories that I heard of Dick’s passing from my parents. Aside from my own father, I cannot recall a man I more greatly admired from my childhood that Dick Epstein. Most dads of kids our age merely tolerated our presence as we young boys ran around their homes, disturbing their peace; not at the Epstein house. Richard Epstein was a great great man. As an insurance agent I dealt with him concerning insurance, but the coversation always involved family and music.
He had a positive outlook on life that was 2nd to none. Our hearts go out to Mrs. Epstein and the whole family.

Dear Mrs. Epstein and David-

It was with great sadness that I learned of Mr. Epstein's death. I will remember him fondly as a warm and kind man, always so welcoming when I came to your home, and always deeply interested in what we were up to in high school. (much to your chagrin then, David!) He had a delightful smile, and a way of making you feel very important when he was talking to you. It made a lasting impression on me as a teenager.
