Not sure what to say?

Dear Betsy,

Dick was one of the smartest people I ever met; that's what I'll remember about him--his wide-ranging intelligence and his love for perennials. He was definitely unique. And I know lots of folks will miss him dearly.

Helen-
I enjoyed working with Richard at Garden Secrets years ago. He was an awesome guy and will be missed. Our prayers are with you and the family.

I worked with Richard for a number of years at Garden Secrets and he was truly one of the most unique, caring and well spoken individuals I have ever known. The world has truly lost a wonderful person. My sincere condolences to you Helen and his family.

Helen,
Xanie told me today of Richard's passing, and I am so very sorry for you. He was a sweet, wonderful spirit, and I know you will miss your dear friend. Richard cat-sat for me a number of times. You were a wonderful friend to him and I hope that brings you comfort.

My heart holds hands with yours,
Amy Sullivan

Betsy,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. My mom has told me some funny stories about Dick, and how he used to prank you two. We are thinking of you.
Love,
Lora, Libby, and Chad

Betsy and Helen,

Chip and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Richard's passing. We were so fond of him and depended on him for his knowledge of plants for our yard. As I look in my yard and see what he told us to plant I will always remember him with great affection. We are so sorry for your loss of a brother and friend.

Sincerely,
Rivers and Chip Moon

Betsy, please know we are thinking of you during this difficult time. Love

Richard was a kind, sweet, wonderful man. The world has lost a true gentleman....they do not make them like Richard anymore. Rest in Peace my friend. I know Heaven has plants and flowers you have never seen and tell Jim Blow we miss him too.

Betsy, I am so sorry for your loss. I think of you often with great memories of your family Ruth McSwain
