Rich was a kind, gentle soul with a sense of humor and a wonderful family man. We were both born into the Ironbound section of Newark and grew up as classmates in the Union School system. Our grandmothers Elvira Galante and Anna Colasurdo were friends. Being his friend was just like being family.
