Longtime resident of Port Hueneme went home to the Lord on Sept. 27, 2007. Richard passed away at St. John's Regional Medical Center.
Richard was born Aug. 28, 1929, in Arlington, Mass. He attended local schools and spent his childhood in Arlington.

Dear Jo:
Angelo and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Dad, Roy Wilhelm, called to let me know Rich had passed and he was telling me that you were so encouraged by his improvement that you thought he would be coming home soon. We read his obit this morning and had no idea of the full and diverse life he and both of you have lived. I know the memories will always be the thing that keeps him alive in your heart.
