Not sure what to say?

I have such nice memories of Rick since he was such a good student with good lab skills when working in my research lab...he always wanted to be involved in the experiments and loved doing science....such a pleasure to work with...my best wishes to his family....Dr. Marjorie Jones, Illinois State University

Rick was truly an outstanding, talented, humble and kind person. He was my supervisor and mentor when I was working at Baxter Healthcare 15 years ago. I have learned so much from him, not only in the industry, but in life lessons. He treated me like family. I only came to know about the news today and it truly broke my heart. Rick's goodwill and lightheartedness will always be remembered. His family is in my prayers. I will always remember you, Rick.

I have ordered a tree to be planted in Rick's name and hope that it reminds us all of his love of science....best wishes, mjones

Thank you Chris for sharing your memory and thoughts

I think of my friend Rick often, and just the other day my daughter asked me if I still have The Bun. I do. Rick definitely won that one. Rest in peace, my old friend...

Thinking of you all today. I often have Rickisms come to mind..

Lots of love.

Very sad to hear of Rick's passing. We were roommates in college and classmates in ISU chemistry program. A truly funny, unique, and talented guy. My wife (who was my girlfriend when Rick and I lived in the same apartment on College avenue) and I still to this day repeat Rick-isms. Most often it's the one when someone would say 'easy' about something and he would stop them and say, "Hey, easy on the easy's."
I was in no way a serious Christian in college which I'm thankful to say...

My condolences and prayers for the family.
