The best part about President Hortons funeral was greeting all the missionaries that came out. Elder Frost, Wade, Baird, Sweet, etc. 18 Elders from the mission showed up there in the choir seats. We all hugged and talked of memories being missionaries out in Michigan.

Richard Horton was my fist home teaching companion when we lived in the yalecrest second ward. He was my role model as a priesthood bearer. When he found out i played the piano, he arranged an evening when i could play for our families. After about a year he was called into the Stake Presidency, and every time he visited our ward he would look for me among the aaronic priesthood, and give me a wink or a wave that made me feel like a million bucks.
